Also enclosed is a wonderfully versatile tree embossing folder. The tree can be used for so many occasions and seasons as shown in the included magazine. I did something completely different with the tree and it was a fun project.

Hunkydory Cardmaking Collection magazine is available in selected retailers like WHSmith here in the UK. I get mine on subscription from moremags.com where it comes as part of the Craft Kit Essentials monthly kit.

Hunkydory is just one of the participating companies that supply the craft kits as part of Craft Kit Essentials. Each month you get a set from a well known brand. If you only want the Hunkydory magazine, you can also buy it individually from moremags.com.

There were so many different elements enclosed in this set, I've tried to show items made using different parts from the kit. Enjoy the inspiration.

Hunkydory Easel Card With Free Sweet Treats Card Collection

Hunkydory Easel Card With Free Sweet Treats Card Collection circle round easel card birds anniversary love theme

Sweet Treats is a super set included in this kit with a colorful bird and flower theme. The card toppers from this Hunkydory set are just perfect for making a round or circle easel card with. I used the scalloped edge frame from the set for the base of the easel card.

The round bird toppers are layered up with foam pads on the front of the card along with a matching sentiment and flower design from the set. I used a couple of butterflies and a ribbon flower to add some decoration.

A die cut Sizzix heart layered up with 3D foam squares makes the perfect motif for propping the front of the card up when on display.

This photo shows the card as it will look when removed from an envelope or box and before propped up for display. My photos which were hard to take with the overcast and dull lighting really don't do these toppers any justice - they are simply beautiful.

Hunkydory Easter Notelet Set

Since Easter had passed by the time I got my kit, I decided to turn the Easter and spring floral themed cardstock into a notelet set ready for gifting next year.

To make notelets from the cardstock, I cut the A4 sized sheets in half to create two A5 sized pieces of card. I then scored these in half to make cute little notelets. I made 6 notelets in all.

A free Joanna Sheen lacy border die (from a previous Craft Kit Essentials magazine) made the perfect wrap to go around the front of the notelets. I finished off by adding on a topper from the Hunkydory set and used a From me To You stamp also from the set on a Sizzix die cut tag.

This notelet idea is something I've done with Hunkydory cardstock before because it's such great quality and scores perfectly. You can leave the notelet designs as they are or decorate them as you wish. It may be a good idea to add in some envelopes too for a really finished set for gifting.

Hunkydory Sweet Treats Free Cardmaking Collection Set

Wishing you a wonderful day rectangular bird and flower card layered with 3D foam pads Hunkydory magazine freebie

This card is a really quick and easy make. I love how Hunkydory card kits make putting together a beautiful looking card so simple.

The outer frames were layered up onto card and patterned paper to match the purple and green color scheme.

The largest frame was stuck on straight to the card blank. The middle frame was twisted slightly and layered up with 3D foam. The final layer was placed on straight and embellished with some sequins, gems, sentiment and butterfly cut from matching card.

Hunkydory Springtime Wonder Free Set

The A4 sized cardstock of the beautiful cottage in this free kit makes the perfect backdrop for a larger sized card than I would normally make. I scored just past the right side border so that the cottage would be folded towards the front of the finished card.

On the inside of the card I used the free insert paper to make a pretty backdrop. I also cut into the right side of the card to create more interest to the shape.

A couple more of the enclosed toppers were used to finish the card off along with a green gingham ribbon which I knotted and stuck on with glue dots.

Hunkydory Cardmaking Collection Issue 4 Free Dies and Stamps

Hunkydory Cardmaking Collection Issue 4 Free Dies and Stamps birdhouse card design in blue and silver stamped images and die cuts

The enclosed dies and stamps in this set are adorable and I used them here to decorate a square card blank that has been folded into a simple Z fold card.

Cut from silver foil card, the birdhouse die fits perfectly onto the Tonic tag that came with the magazine Die Cutting Essentials issue 18. You can subscribe to Die Cutting Essentials at moremags.com

The birds and butterfly are die cuts cut from blue glitter card. I then lined the inside of the card with blue paper and stamped over the top with the free stamps.

Gardener Gardening card made with Hunkydory issue 3 magazine craft kit essentials and dies from issue 4 easel card

Here's an easel card I made with the free gardening toppers from issue 3 of the Hunkydory Cardmaking Collection. See how this set matches up perfectly with the bird themed dies from issue 4.

Many of the Hunkydory toppers are just perfect for creating easel cards which are so easy to make from pre-made card blanks.

Halloween boo card embossed spooky tree design made with Hunkydory embossing folder from magazine issue 4 craft kit essentials

For something completely different from this set, I made a spooky Halloween tree card. I used the free tree embossing folder to emboss and cut out the tree design.

The tree was partially painted white to give it a spooky effect against the black and purple backdrop. The frame dies in the set from this kit are great for adding the BOO word.

To finish, the fencing (cut in white glitter card) some grass and vine leaves and flowers are just perfect. This would make a pretty Halloween decoration or invitation.

Have fun making more creations from this set. I will be making things from this one for a long while to come.
